June Newsletter

It’s almost recital time! This year seems to have flown by! We are all so proud of our student’s accomplishments and can’t wait to see them shine on stage! Please don’t hesitate to call or email if you have any questions about dress rehearsal, recital, summer classes, or camps. Thank you for a wonderful year. We are so thankful to have you all as a part of the Star Struck family!

June Tuition has been added to your account. You are charged for the entire month of June. Tuition is based on 4 weeks of class each month so the entire season is 40 classes billed in 10 monthly installments. If you need a monthly breakdown please let me know! All accounts must be paid in full before dress rehearsal. Failure to pay your account could result in your child not being allowed to participate in the recital.

Summer Camps
The Summer Camp Flyer is available under the Class Documents tab. Please register now to insure your spot! Some camps are already close to being full!

Summer Classes
Summer classes are an ideal way for all of our students to maintain the skills they have mastered during the regular season, as well as a great opportunity to learn new things and take your dancing and tumbling to the next level! We have classes for ages 2.5 and up! Summer classes begin on June 28th. The Summer Class Schedule is available under the Class Documents tab.

Competition & Performing Teams
We are so proud of our performing & competition teams! Our teams have won numerous awards at competitions this year as well as performing at the National Day of Dance, the Apple Festival, the Mrs. NC/SC Pageant, Sims Barbeque, the Nutcracker, the Harlem Globetrotters Halftime, and the Charlotte Hornets pregame. We’ve got even bigger and better events planned for next year! If you are interested in finding out more about being a part of our teams please contact Kelley. We love to welcome new families to our teams!

Classes Next Week
June 11th-14th is our last week of regular class before the recital. All classes will meet at their regular times. Please make every effort to be present for class!

Dress Rehearsal
Dress rehearsal will be held on Friday, June 15th at the James Warren Citizens Center in downtown Lincolnton. When you arrive at dress rehearsal, please come into the auditorium and find a seat. If you have signed up to be a backstage helper, please check in with Kelley as soon as you arrive. The class helpers will get all of the children together in the auditorium and ready to go backstage to line up for their first dance. Please make sure your dancer is dressed in their first costume before the scheduled time. After their first dance, dancers will come back into the auditorium to meet parents and to get changed for their next routine. Backstage helpers will take each class to their designated dressing area. At dress rehearsal we allow dancers to watch from the auditorium and parents to come backstage. On recital day all dancers will need to remain backstage between dances and parents will need to remain in the auditorium. Only helpers with a backstage pass will be allowed in the dressing areas on recital day! Dancers will be supervised at all times by their class helpers and our backstage helpers.

Please remember to pick up your program books and tshirts at dress rehearsal.

Videoing is not allowed during the recital, but dress rehearsal is a great time to take pictures and videos.

The schedule below lists your dancer’s rehearsal time. The time listed is the time your dancers group will be on stage. You need to arrive 30 minutes prior to your rehearsal time, dressed in your costume and ready for your first routine. We cannot wait past the scheduled time for your dancer, so please be on time! We try to stay on a tight schedule so none of our dancers will be rehearsing too late. Please plan to be at dress rehearsal 1 ½ hours.
