General Information for Competition Dancers
Competition dancers are required to attend all classes, rehearsals, performances and competitions scheduled for the 2007 - 2008 competition season. Failure to participate in any scheduled event may result in dismissal from the team. Dancers will be allowed three excused absences. A message must be left at the studio prior to class time for an absence to be considered excused. Your teacher may require you to make up any classes missed with a private lesson at your expense.
Competition dancers are required to wear proper attire to class. Dancers may be asked to sit out of class if they do not have the proper clothes, shoes, etc.
All dancers and parents need to show good sportsmanship at all times. This is important not only at competition, but in the studio as well. Children repeat what their parents say whether it is about dancers from other studios or dancers from our own. Bad sportsmanship will not be tolerated. Any student or parent that displays bad sportsmanship will be asked to leave the studio.
Parents are not allowed to sit in on or disturb class. This is very distracting to both the dancers and the teachers. Please call the studio and leave a message if you need to talk to your child's teacher. Your call will be returned as soon as possible. Class time is valuable and needs to be spent dancing.
