November Newsletter

Happy November! Even though the weather is getting colder, our thoughts are already on our 27th Annual Spring Recital! We are picking out costumes and starting routines so it is very important that you have your dancer in class every week. We are proud to provide the highest quality dance instruction in our area and can’t wait for you to see how hard we’ve been working in class!

Thanksgiving Break
The studio will be closed November 22nd-25th for the Thanksgiving holiday. Happy Thanksgiving!

Parent’s Week
We’d like to invite all of our recital class parent to come and observe class November 13th-18th, and our company parents to observe class November 27th-December 2nd for Parent’s Week. You are welcome to take pictures and video your dancer, but we do ask that no other children be brought into class. Our neighbor is very generous and shares his parking lot with us when we have special events, but he does ask that we do not block either of the gates. This is the only way their customers can access their storage units. Thank you so much for your cooperation!

SSDS Gear Order
All ordered items will be available for pick up at the studio November 20th & 21st. Since we don’t know which orders are Christmas gifts, nothing will be handed out in class. Parents must come into the studio to pick up orders.

Lost & Found
The studio Lost & Found is overflowing! Please be sure to check the Lost & Found for any clothes or shoes you may be missing. I empty the bucket every 3 months and donate clothing to Goodwill, so please be sure to look through it periodically!

Christmas Parade & Tree Lighting
The 59th Annual Lincolnton Christmas Parade & Tree Lighting is on Sunday, November 26th and all dancers are invited to participate! Recital Class students will be riding on the float and company dancers will be dancing behind the float. Floats will be lined up on Water Street. The parade will travel down Main Street toward the courthouse, and end up back on Water Street. All participants need to meet at the Star Struck float by 3:30 and the parade will begin at 4:00. We will have chaperones on the float, but parents are welcome to ride if there is room or walk beside the float if we run out of room on the float. We have a huge commercial float and we love to show off our dancers! Parents that don’t ride/walk need to pick their children up immediately following the parade at the same place where we lined up. The Annual Tree Lighting will be held at the Court House immediately following the parade. Some of our Star Struck Company Dancers will be performing at the Tree Lighting. You won’t want to miss it! I will send out a detailed reminder, including our line up number, the week before the parade.

Have a wonderful week! See you all in class!
